The OSCE Ack File Tab in the E-IWO Import Feature

Dayforce supports the ability to import child and spousal support orders by using the Electronic Income Withholding Order (e-IWO) process that the United States Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) offers. This feature reduces the need to manually enter individual orders, minimizing the risk for errors and remaining compliant.

The only records that show up on the OCSE Ack File tab are records that were saved as Reject or records that were Published. Each order on an e-IWO file must be acknowledged as either Rejected or Accepted as shown in the following screenshot:

Examples of E-IWO files in the E-IWO Ack File tab

The OCSE Ack File tab contains the following fields:

  • EIWO File Name: This is the filename that will match what was originally included in the e-IWO file. This field cannot be modified.
  • FEIN (EIWO): This is the FEIN that will match what was originally included in the e-IWO file. This field cannot be modified.
  • OCSE Ack File: If the record has already been included in an Acknowledgement File (meaning that the file was created), it will display a Y in this field. Once it is included in an Acknowledgement File, it cannot be included in another Acknowledgement File.
  • Acknowledge/Pending: If the Acknowledge/Pending record has a drop down, then it indicates that it has not been included in an Acknowledgement File.
  • Doc Type (EIWO): This Doc Type that will match what was originally included in the e-IWO file (ORG, AMD, TRM, LUM). This field cannot be modified.
  • Employee SSN: This is the Employee SSN that will match what was originally included in the e-IWO file. This field cannot be modified.
  • Employee Last Name: This is the Employee Last Name that will match what was originally included in the e-IWO file. This field cannot be modified.

  • Employee Middle Name: This is the Employee Middle Name that will match what was originally included in the e-IWO file. This field cannot be modified.
  • Publish Status: The Published Status will be either PUBLISHED or NOTPUBLISHED. If it states Published, it means that the record was Approved and written to the Dayforce database (published). If it states Not Published, it means the record was saved as Reject. This field cannot be modified.
  • Accept/Reject: The values will only show ACCEPT or REJECT. If Accept, then it means it was also published. This field cannot be modified.
  • Reject Reason Code: If the Record was Rejected, then a valid reason code would be required on the Support Order tab and this value is what is displayed on the Support Order tab. This field cannot be modified.
  • Reject Reason Data: If the Record was Rejected with a Reject Reason Code, then a valid Reason Data would be required for specific Reason Codes on the Support Order tab and this value is what is displayed on the Support Order tab. This field cannot be modified.
  • Error/Warning: If there is a Warning or Error present, it will be displayed here. An Accepted/Published record can contain a warning but no error. A Rejected record can contain warnings or errors. This field cannot be modified.
