The General Ledger tab in Payroll shows the statuses of various background jobs related to the general ledger. The list of statuses includes jobs that you've manually run and the jobs that are set up to run automatically. Use the tab to track the GL data that is reported on or exported by the background jobs, or troubleshoot any errors that have occurred.

The General Ledger tab has a button toolstrip and a table of job statuses.
Button Toolstrip
Clicking the Process Job button shows the following background jobs that you can run in this tab:
- PRGL Export: See Payroll GL Export in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
- Populate PRGL Reporting Data:
Clicking Refresh reloads the list of job statuses.
You can click Filter to open the Filter panel. If there are no filters, you can click Add Filter to select one or all of the following filters:
- File: This option is not currently supported.
- Period: Enter the time period that you're interested in.
After selecting the filters that you want to use, click Update. Dayforce adds the filters to the Filter panel.
The Export Status button opens the Export Status dialog box that shows the Payroll GL Export background jobs that were run. Use the date filter to generate a list of past export jobs that you're interested in.
Job Status Table in Payroll > General Ledger

| Pay Run | Information about the pay run that the background job worked on, where applicable. The information includes the pay period, the pay date, and the commit date. |
| Job | Name of the background job that was run. |

Start Time End Time |
The time period when the background job was running. |
| Status | The status of the background job that was run. |
| BJE Reference | The reference number of the background job that was run. Click the link to open the Job Details dialog box that shows the Background Engine log data. |
| Messages | Shows any errors, warnings, or information messages that were generated by running the background job. |
| Reviewed | An editable checkbox that indicates a user has reviewed the data. |
| Review Comment | An editable field that you use to enter comments from a review. |
