After you have generated tax forms for Canadian employees for a given year, you can view their tax forms, whether they have multiple forms, and the status of the forms by selecting a pay group and then clicking the arrow on the top right of the screen to open the Employee Tax Statements slide-out panel. The sidebar contains a list of employees associated with the selected legal entity.
Click an employee to load tax forms for that employee for that year, as illustrated in the following screenshot:
In the tax form tab, the application displays the status of the tax form (for example, Preview or Printed and Filed).
If the employee has more than one tax form of the same type, a label reads Legal <number_of_tax_form> of <total_number_of_tax_forms> between left and right arrow buttons. For example, if an employee works for two different legal entities in an organization, they will have two T4 forms. The label will read Legal 1 of 2, as illustrated in the following screenshot:
You can print a tax form that you are viewing by clicking Print.
The employee might also have more than one type of tax form, in which case each tax form type occupies its own tab, as illustrated in the following screenshot with an employee who has a Form T4 and a Form RL1:
If the employee has worked in multiple provinces or worked under multiple Canada Revenue Agency account numbers or payroll numbers, then Dayforce displays forms for each of these under their associated legal entity. Use the scrollbar at the right of the screen to move down the page to the appropriate form.
You can filter the list of employees displayed. Click Filter to expand a section in which you can add filters, which are grouped into two types:
