In the Analytics sub-tab of Payroll > Pay Run Management for the pay run that you've loaded, the application provides a set of graphs and charts that you can use to analyze trends between pay periods and identify potential anomalies, such as a sharp increase or decrease in employee hours, or a sudden surge in the number of adjustments being made.
You can click the drop-down button at the top of the Analytics sub-tab to switch between the Employee Hours, Payments, and Quick Entries charts:
Once you've already loaded a chart, you can click Refresh for the charts to reflect the latest data.
The look back period for each chart is one year from the pay run that is currently loaded.
| Chart | Description |
|---|---|
| Payments |
Graphs the amount of payments for pay runs and provides a breakdown of where each part of the payment is sent. You can hover over each segment in the graph to view a breakdown of the payment totals in the legend on the left side of the screen. The legend displays the details of the currently loaded pay run by default. |
| Employee Hours |
Graphs the number of employee hours associated with earnings in each pay period. The total number of hours can include paid hours recorded in an employee's time and attendance records that contribute to time-driven earnings, hours from any quick entries or checks, or auto pay earnings. You can hover over each segment in the graph to view to total hours for each pay period. |
| Quick Entries | Graphs the number of quick entries made in each pay period. You can hover over a segment in the graph for the application to display the number of quick entries for a specific period. |
