When a Canadian employee is subject to the federal tax deduction In Canada beyond the limits of any province/territory or outside Canada, you can add the deduction as a tax status in the employee's HR record in People.
In the People feature, go to the Payroll > Tax Definitions screen, and scroll to the Tax Status section. Tax status records that have the Federal jurisdiction display the Beyond Provinces drop-down list.

| No Selection | Clears any previous option that was selected in the list. |
| US-Canadian Beyond Province | Indicates a Canadian resident who works in the United States. When selected, US is entered in Box 10 in the T4 slip. |
| ZZ-Canadian Beyond Province | Indicates a Canadian employee working outside their resident province, territory, or country without a physical location in Dayforce, or an employee working in a country other than Canada or the United States. When selected, ZZ is entered in Box 10 in the T4 slip. |
The Beyond Provinces drop-down list is shown for any Canadian employee.
