After generating the IR21 forms, you can electronically submit these files to IRAS in the IRAS AIS e-Submission tab in Year End > Singapore Year End. Dayforce submits the data using the IRAS API.
Before You Begin:
- Generate the year-end files. See Prepare and Distribute IR21 Forms.
- You must have a Singapore Corporate Access (Corpass) account, and are authorized to submit the year-end files.
Role feature access: Year End > Singapore Year End > IRAS AIS e-Submission
To submit the IR21 forms electronically:
- Go to Year End > Singapore Year End.
- In the IRAS AIS e-Submission tab, check the year. If you're working on a previous year end, select that year in Year.
- Select the legal entity for which you’re submitting the files.
- Click Process Job and then IRAS API Submissions.
- Generate the JSON file package for submission. For each file type, complete the following steps:
- In File Type, select Form IR21.
- Select the report type:
- Original: The data has never been submitted to IRAS.
- Revision: The data was previously submitted to IRAS.
- Click Generate JSON.
- Generated files are shown in the table with a Saved status.
- To validate the submission, select the row of the package and click Validate. The validation process might take some time to complete.
- When the validation is complete, any warnings and errors are available in a report in the Message Center.
- If you plan to correct these errors before submitting the year-end files, you need to repeat steps 1 through 6 to regenerate the files.
- Select Tax Agent if you’re a third-party tax agent who is completing the submission for a client.
- Select Ignore Warnings if you want to ignore any validation warnings and continue with the IRAS file submission.
- (Optional) Click Download to download a copy of the package that you’re submitting.
- Click Submit.
- When the Status column of the package shows “Ready for Submission”, click the IRAS Login button. Enter your organization's login information when prompted.
