Run the Payroll Data Export Background Job Using the Payroll Data Export Configuration

When you are done setting up the payroll data export configuration, you can then run, or create a schedule to run, the Payroll Data Export background job. This example illustrates running (as opposed to scheduling) the Payroll Data Export background job.

To run the Payroll Data Export background job using the payroll data export configuration that you created:

  1. Go to System Admin > Background Jobs.
  2. Select the Payroll Data Export background job and click Run to run the background job.
  3. Note: You can click Schedule instead of clicking Run to create a schedule for running the background job.
  4. In the Pay Run ID field, enter a specific pay run to run for that pay run.
  5. Select the Force Generate All Files checkbox to generate all files, whether previously generated successfully or not. Clear the checkbox to have the background job only generate files that previously had errors.
  6. In the Export Configs Included drop-down list, select the payroll data export configuration you created; for example, 401k Match Export Configuration.
  7. Click Run.
