Dayforce requires values in several fields in the HR record of each auto pay employee in order to automatically calculate the pay amounts for each pay period. You must verify that the contents of these fields are correct in order for the employee to be paid correctly using the Auto Pay functionality.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Annual Salary | For salaried employees, this field displays the annual salary that the application divides by the number of pay periods in the year to determine the employee's auto pay amount. |
| Base Rate | For hourly employees, this field displays the hourly rate that the application multiplies by the hours per pay period amount to determine the employee's auto pay amount. |
| Pay Group | The employee's pay group determines the frequency of pay and the number of pay periods in a year. |
| Normal Weekly Hours | For hourly employees with weekly or biweekly pay periods, the application multiplies this amount (or double this amount for biweekly) by the Base Rate to determine the auto pay amount. |
| Normal Semi Monthly Hours (Top) |
|
| Normal Semi Monthly Hours (Bottom) |
|
For hourly employees with monthly pay periods, the application multiplies this amount plus the amount in the Normal Semi Monthly Hours (Top) field by the Base Rate to determine the auto pay amount.
