Employers in the UK are required to communicate how pension auto-enrolment applies to each employee. In the Pensions > Pension Notifications screen, you can configure notification templates that are triggered at payroll commit. Notifications are delivered to employees based on their worker category and member status. When you commit a pay run, employees who meet the criteria in the template receive the notification by email, Message Center, or a combination of both.

Dayforce sends a pension notification when the Notification Date field is blank in an employee’s pension record in the Payroll > Pension screen of People. Once the notification is sent, the Notification Date and Notification Name fields are populated, and no further notifications are sent in later pay runs. For example, if an entitled worker with the Inactive member status receives a Join notification, they won’t receive another Join notification in the next period if their member status remains Inactive.
You can use the following notification categories to create templates:
