The tax year in Singapore runs from January 1 to December 31. You can generate the IR8A, Appendix 8A, and Appendix 8B tax forms in Dayforce.
As a Singapore payroll administrator, you complete this sequence of steps every year as soon as the tax year ends:
- Enter the Employees' Tax Details for Singapore Year End
- Import Singapore Employee Information to Generate Appendix 8A and 8B Forms
- Run the year-end reports, such as the Singapore YTD Tax Signal Report
- Make the necessary year-end adjustments and perform the year-end payroll calculations
- Generate and Distribute Singapore Year-End Tax Forms to Employees
- Submit Singapore Year-End Files to IRAS
Configuring Role Access to Singapore Year End Forms
User roles help keep Dayforce secure by controlling the data each user can access. You can configure as many user roles as your organization requires in System Admin > Roles.
| Feature | Feature Description | Configuration in System Admin > Roles |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore Year End | User can access the Singapore Year End screen and its tabs | In the Features tab, select Year End > Singapore Year End. You should also select the Year End Reports option. |
| Year End Statements in People | User can access the Year End Statements screen in People | In the Features tab, select Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Statements > Year End Statements. |
You can set up your employee's user role to give them access to their year-end forms in the employee self-service (ESS) feature of Dayforce as well as on the Dayforce mobile app. For more information about how to set up your employee's user role, see the following topics:
