Lock WFM from Payroll > Pay Run Management

Payroll administrators can lock WFM timesheets in the Payroll feature for all locations that are associated with a normal pay run, without the need to go to Pay Admin Checklist. You can use this feature to lock any timesheets that you already unlocked and edited. Before you use Lock WFM, you must commit all WFM time. In addition, you should also check to see if the organization that is associated with the timesheet that you want to edit is unlocked.

Access and configuration:

  • Role feature access:
    • Payroll > Overview > Lock WFM
    • Payroll > Pay Run Management > Lock WFM
  • Role authorization access: Pay Period Locking (all permissions)

In Payroll > Overview or Payroll > Pay Run Management, when you click Lock WFM in the Process Job list, Dayforce lists the selected pay runs that are validated as ready to lock WFM time and which ones aren’t ready. As long as one of the selected pay runs is in a ready state, you can proceed to lock WFM time, and WFM time is locked for each of the ready pay runs.

Lock WFM from Payroll > Pay Run Management

  1. Go to Payroll > Pay Run Management.
  2. Select the normal pay run, and click Load.
  3. Click Process Job > Lock WFM, and wait for confirmation that the process is complete.
