Employee ROE Slide-out Panel

This topic describes the features in the Employee ROE page that is accessible in the ROE sub-tab of Pay Run Management and Data Entry in the Payroll feature. Located on the employee slide-out panel that is common to other areas in Payroll, the Employee ROE page contains tabs for filling out and previewing the ROE form.

Before You Begin: This section discusses Record of Employment (ROE) forms specific to Canadian employees only.

Before you can access the ROE form on the Employee ROE page, the ROE form must at last have a Pending status. See Overview of Processing ROEs.

There are two ways to open the Employee ROE page. You can select an ROE entry from the list and click the tab at the top right of the screen:

Alternatively, you can click the Details link for the ROE entry that you want to work on from the list:

In the slide-out panel, the application displays the Employee ROE page by default, which contains tabs for filling out and previewing the ROE form:

Toggle Between Earning Statement and ROE Form

At the top-left of the slide-out panel, you can click the top tab (1) to toggle to the Employee Profile page. You can click the secondary tab (2) to return to the Employee ROE page of the slide-out panel:

Earning Statement with tabs which link to Employee Profile page and Employee ROE page.

Note: When you are in the ROE sub-tab, the Employee Preview page of the slide-out panel only includes the Earning Statement tab, and no other tabs (for example, GL Preview, Time Data).

Access to the ROE Form from Other Areas in Payroll

When you open the slide-out panel for an employee from any area of the Pay Run Management or Data Entry tabs of Payroll, and there is an existing ROE entry for the employee, the application displays a secondary tab at the top-left of the slide-out panel, which you can click to open the Employee ROE page. For example, if you are in the Quick Entry sub-tab adding an entry for vacation pay-out, you can access the ROE form without having to go to the ROE sub-tab.

Employee ROE Page Tabs

The page contains the following tabs for filling out and previewing the ROE form:

Except for the ROE Form tab, many of the blocks in these tabs are used to fill out the ROE form. Some of the fields in these blocks are automatically populated from other areas of Dayforce; some fields are read-only while others are editable. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk. When you save your input, Dayforce validates the information in the fields and displays the necessary errors or warnings in the Problems panel. If you created the ROE using the Multiple ROE Request wizard, Dayforce automatically populates the fields based on what you entered in the wizard.

For more information on the blocks of the ROE form, refer to the ROE guide at the Service Canada website: www.canada.ca/en.
