Configure Dental Coverage Type in Tax Slips

The federal Dental Care Measures Act requires employers to report the type of dental coverage offered to their employees and their families in the T4 and T4A slips. You can configure a dental coverage type in Dayforce for all employees or set a specific dental coverage type for each employee. If you didn’t configure a dental coverage type, T4 and T4A slips use the code 1 option (no dental insurance or dental service coverage) by default.

Role feature access:

  • Org Setup > Org Setup > Org Payroll Setup > Legal Entity > Quarterly/Annual Reporting Parameters
  • Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Employment > Employee Properties

Note: The reporting requirement in Box 15 on the T4A slip is mandatory when an amount is reported in Box 16 (Pension or Superannuation). If no amount is reported in Box 16, Box 15 is optional.
