Automatically Generate ROE Forms When Employee Is Inactive

To configure Dayforce to automatically generate Canadian ROE forms when an employee has an inactive employment status in their HR profile in People:

  1. Link the leave reasons in HR Admin > Employment Status Reason with ROE reason codes. Dayforce uses the codes to quickly add a reason in the automatically generated ROE form.
    1. Go to HR Admin > Employment Status Reason.
    2. Add a new employment status reason, or locate an existing reason that you want to modify.
    3. In the Leave Reason column, select the checkbox.
    4. In the ROE Reason column, select an ROE Reason code that you want associated with the employment status reason.
    5. Click Save.
  2. Schedule the Payroll Post Termination Job background job, or you can run the background job when needed. The background job searches pay groups for inactive employment statuses and automatically generates ROE forms.
    1. Go to System Admin > Background Jobs.
    2. In the Available Jobs tab, select the Payroll Post Termination Job background job.
    3. Click Run to run the background job, or click Schedule to schedule recurrent runs.
    4. In the job settings dialog, select one or more employment statuses in the Include Inactive Employment Statuses (Canada - ROE Only) drop-down list. Only statuses that are set up as an inactive status type are shown.

To view the automatically generated ROE forms, in Payroll > Pay Run Management, load the current unlocked pay run and click the ROE sub-tab. You can start entering details in each form. See Enter Details in ROEs.

For more information about this background job or about how the background job processes employees who were terminated in past pay periods, See Payroll Post Termination Job in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.
