Auto Populated Fields of Block 17A, B and C

When you create a quick entry or check entry in the pay run to which the ROE form is assigned, and the earning code is mapped to Block 17A, B, or C of the ROE form (mapping is configured in the Earnings tab in Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions) the application adds this amount to the corresponding field of the ROE form, as follows:

  • Block 17A: The application auto-populates the Amount field. If you add more than one earning entry with the same earning code, the application adds the amounts together on the single line. It also populates the Start Date and End Date fields with the respective start and end date of the pay period to which the ROE form is assigned. However, you need to manually select an option from the Reason drop-down list.
  • Block 17B: The application populates the Amount field, and you need to manually enter a date. The application adds one line per earning code, and if there is more than one entry with the same earning code, the application adds the amounts together on the same line.
  • Block 17C: The application populates the Amount field. The application adds one line per earning code, and if there is more than one entry with the same earning code, the application adds the amounts together on the same line. Like in Block 17A, the application populates the Start Date and End Date fields with the respective start and end date of the pay period to which the ROE form is assigned. However, you need to manually select an option from the Reason drop-down list.
