Before You Begin: See Third Party Payees for Superannuation.
To apply the AUS Superannuation Rule to a payroll policy:
- Go to Payroll Setup > Payroll Policies and expand the payroll policy that you want to modify.
- Click the add icon (
) and select Ruleset.
- Enter a name and, optionally, a description for the ruleset (for example, Superannuation override).
- Click the calendar icon in the Start Date field to select the starting day for the policy to apply.
- Click the add icon (
) and select Rule.
- Enter a name and, optionally, a description for the rule.
- Enter a start date for the rule in the Effective From field. The application only applies active rules during their effective date range.
- Verify that the Active checkbox is selected.
- In the Type drop-down list, select Apply AUS Superannuation Rule.
- In the Ineligible deduction drop-down list, select Superannuation Exemption.
- [Optional] In the Superannuation earning groupings drop-down list, specify the earning grouping that applies to the rule.
- Click Save.
- Use the up and down arrow icons to order the Apply AUS Superannuation Rule in the payroll policy so that it runs after the Auto Pay Rule or Apply Earnings Rule and before the Apply AUS Taxes Rule and Apply Deductions Rule.
- Click Save.
