Add an Ireland Pension Auto-Enrolment Benefits Plan

In Benefits Set-up > Plans and Options, you must set up a Benefits plan and option for pension auto-enrolment (My Future Fund). The plan and option define the plan type and employer contribution percentage.

To add Benefits pension plan:

  1. Go to Benefits Set-up > Plans and Options.
  2. In the toolstrip, click Add > Add Plan to open the Add Plan dialog box.
  3. Select Ireland and Retirement.
  4. In the Plan Sub Type field, select Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
  5. Click Add.
  6. In the General tab, enter a name, unique reference code, and effective start and end date for the plan.
  7. Click Save.

To add an option to the plan:

  1. Go to Benefits Set-up > Plans and Options.
  2. Expand the Retirement section and select the plan.
  3. Click Add > Add Option.
  4. In the General tab, enter an option name and unique reference code.
  5. In the Taxability field, select None.
  6. In the Beneficiaries field, select Do not Allow.
  7. In the Contribution tab, ensure that the Auto Enrol tab is not selected.
  8. In the Options Consist of field, select Employer Contribution.
  9. In the Taxability field, select None.
  10. In the Contribution Based On field, select Percentage and set the percentage to 1.5.
  11. Click Save.
