At this time, Dayforce supports disbursement only through direct deposit. You can add one or more direct deposit accounts in the Payroll > Direct Deposit screen of the People feature.
Role feature access: Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Payroll > Direct Deposit > Direct Deposit
The direct deposit information is included in the bank file that is generated on payroll commit. In Dayforce, you can also regenerate an Australian bank file for corrected employee records using the AUS NZL Bank Payment File Generation background job in the Available Jobs tab of System Admin > Background Jobs for any changes to the direct deposit details after the commit process. This ability to regenerate exists for committed pay runs for updated direct deposit details only. All other information is based on the committed pay run.
For general information about adding direct deposit records, see Payroll Direct Deposit Information.
To enter direct deposit information for employees in Australian organizations:
- Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Payroll > Direct Deposit.
- Click Add.
- In the Banking Details section, enter the information about the employee's bank account used to receive the direct deposits.
- BSB Code: The six-digit Bank State Branch number used to identify the specific branch of the bank account.
- Branch Name and Location: (Read-only) The bank name of the bank account. This value is auto-populated once you enter a valid BSB code.
- Account Number: The bank account number.
- Account Holder: The name of the account holder.
- If your employee has only one direct deposit account, in the General Details section, select the Remainder checkbox.
- If your employee has more than one direct deposit account, you must define how the pay is distributed between accounts.
- Designate one account to accept any residual pay amounts that remain after distribution. Select the Remainder checkbox and leave the Deposit Amount field blank.
- For each of the other accounts, in the Deposit Type drop-down list, select whether Dayforce should use amount or percentage to calculate the deposit. In the Deposit Amount field, enter the amount or percentage of the pay to deposit into that account.
- Click Move Down to move the designated “remainder” account to the bottom of the table.
- For the other accounts, click Move Up to assign the processing order during distribution. For example, if you move an account to the top of the table, the paycheck amount is distributed into this account first before the other accounts.
- Click Save.
