Before You Begin: Create a custom tax compliance rule for the employer pension auto-enrolment contributions. The custom rule should be a Memo Deduction rule with the Pension checkbox selected. For more information about creating tax compliance rule,
To create a deduction code for employer pension auto-enrolment contributions:
- Go to Payroll Setup > Earnings and Deductions, and click the Deductions tab.
- Click Add to open the Add Deduction dialog box.
- In the Tax Type field, select Memo.
- In the Country field, select Ireland.
- In the Process for Employment field, select Regular Payroll.
- In the Tax and Compliance dialog box, select Select a Rule and select the custom tax compliance rule for pension auto-enrolment contributions.
- Click Select this Rule and then click Finish.
- Complete the required fields. See the reference table below for more information.
- Click Save.
