You can lock and unlock pay periods for specific locations in Pay Admin Checklist. It’s a good idea to lock the records of any location that you review, so that other users don’t make changes that could impact the payroll data.
If you load a pay group that contains a large number of locations, Dayforce might split the locations across multiple pages. If a location isn’t on the current page, you might have to load a different one. However, when Dayforce splits location records across multiple pages, you can lock and unlock each location in the loaded pay group, even those that aren’t available on the loaded page. To do this, click Select > Select All and use the mass action option. See Navigate Between Pages and Edit Multiple Records (Mass Action).
To lock pay periods:
- Go to Pay Admin Checklist.
- Do one of the following:
- Select the checkbox in the Locked column for the row of the location that you want to lock.
- Select the locations that you want to lock and then click Lock.
- Click Save. The locked records are indicated by the checkbox in the Locked column.
