The Onboarding Employees screen displays information about the new employee.
Column Name | Information Displayed |
---|---|
Name | The name of the employee. |
First Day | The day the employee starts work at your organization. |
Onboarding Period | The number of days that the employee has to complete their onboarding tasks. |
Onboarding Policy |
The onboarding policy assigned to the employee. If the onboarding policy has expired, it appears in this column in red and you need to assign another active onboarding policy to this employee. |
Employment Status |
The employee's employment status. These statuses are also shown in People, and are configured in HR Admin > Status. |
First Time Access Email Status |
The status of the First Time Access Email (FTAE):

Job | The job the employee works. A job is a particular combination of duties and responsibilities that requires certain skills, knowledge, and abilities. |
Job Assignment |
The job assignment the employee works. A job assignment is a specific job in a specific department. Job assignments pair departments with jobs. Job assignments can have a specific budget, work schedules, and attendance requirements. For example, the Deli Clerk job assignment is a combination of the Clerk job and the Deli department. |
Department | The division of your organization that this employee works in. |
Work Location | The location that the employee works from. This is the primary work location. |
Business Title |
The title that Dayforce shows in place of the job assignment title, if specified. Business titles are not used for employees who are assigned to positions using Position Management. |
Work Location City |
The city that the employee works in. Note: If an onboarding employee has the Work Location Override setting configured in the Work > Work Assignments screen of People, Dayforce shows that city in the Work Location City field. |
Primary Residence City | The city that the employee lives in. |
Manager(s) | The employee's manager. Multiple managers are listed if applicable. |
Recruiter |
The recruiter for the employee's position, if applicable. This column shows the recruiter as identified in the Recruiting feature. It includes external and internal recruiters, including terminated ones. You can click the names of internal recruiters to see their details. |
Guide(s) |
Employees assigned to help the new employee by acting as mentors or other points of contact for the onboarding process. Hover over the column to see the list of names when there is more than one guide. |
Employee Progress | The number of employee tasks that the new employee has completed so far based on the number they need to complete. |
Manager Progress | The number of manager tasks that the new employee's manager has completed so far based on the number they need to complete for the new employee to be fully onboarded. |
Onboarding Progress | The sum of the completed employee and manager tasks. |
