E-Sign Forms Stored in Dayforce

There are several types of forms you might be asked to sign, and the way you e-sign them is slightly different:

  • Forms that are maintained in DocuSign can be signed by multiple people, even when they aren’t logged in to Dayforce. You can sign these forms, called "templates", one at a time. See E-Sign DocuSign Templates.
  • Forms stored by the organization in Dayforce are signed in batches. You will be asked to e-sign these forms after you have completed all of them. Some of these forms might be optional and you can skip them if you want. This process is explained below.
  • Important: Before you e-sign the forms, be sure you have completed all information in all forms accurately. After you e-sign the forms and they are approved, you can't update them later from Getting Started.

To e-sign the forms stored in Dayforce:

  1. Go to the Your Onboarding Forms section of Getting Started.
  2. Forms that require e-signatures have a message displayed at the top indicating this. After you complete each of these forms, they are marked with a Pending E-Signature status:
  3. Your Onboarding Forms section showing a form that is pending an e-signature.
  4. For forms marked "Optional", Dayforce displays a Skip this form option, which you can click for forms that don’t apply to you. You must either click this option or click the Start button and complete the form. If you choose to skip a form (and confirm that you want to skip the form), you won’t have the option to complete the form later during your onboarding process. Skipped forms display the Skipped status:
  5. Your Onboarding Forms section showing a form that can be skipped and one that has already been skipped.
  6. When you complete the very last form, Dayforce displays a Sign and Submit button to indicate you can begin the DocuSign e-signature process:
  7. Form with the Sign and Submit button at the bottom-right.
  8. Note: If none of your forms require an e-signature, Dayforce displays a Submit button. In this case, you can click that button and go to step 9 below.
  9. Click Sign and Submit. Dayforce displays a loading bar until the DocuSign e-signature screen appears.
  10. In the Complete your E-Signature screen, click the I agree to use electronic records and signatures checkbox, then click Continue:
  11. Acknowledgment checkbox.
  12. Note: There is an Electronic Record and Signature Disclosure link available where you can find out more information about the DocuSign process.
  13. The Adopt Your Signature panel appears. Provide your signature, then click Adopt and Sign:
  14. Panel for adding the signature that will be used.
  15. Cycle through all of the forms to review and sign them.
  16. If you are signing an HR policy, you might see a list of additional documents to review:
  17. List of supplemental documents.
  18. If you see this list, click View to review each document, click Accept to acknowledge you have viewed and accept the document, and when all documents are accepted, click Finish.
  19. After you finish reviewing all forms, they will all have a checkmark icon and be labeled as "ACCEPTED". A "This document is now complete" message appears. Click Close.
  20. After the forms are processed and approved, the forms section in Getting Started will be shown as Completed.
  21. When the organization processes your forms, one or more forms might be rejected because they require additional information. In this event, go back to the Forms section of Getting Started and submit the forms again.
