Assign First Time Access Email in the People Feature

You can send a First Time Access Email (FTAE) to employees from the People feature. For example, you might need to send these emails to employees whose New Hire, Rehire, or Candidate Hire form didn’t have the Send first-time access email checkbox selected, or whose email address wasn’t known at the time their form was submitted.

Role feature access: Application Container > People > Employee Profile > Onboarding > First Time Access Email

To send an FTAE from People:

  1. Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Onboarding > First Time Access Email.
  2. Select the Send First Time Access Email checkbox.
  3. Note: This checkbox isn’t available if the employee already logged into Dayforce from a previous FTAE link.
  4. In the First Time Access Email Template drop-down list, select the email template that you want to use. If left blank, the default template is used.
  5. Click Save.

A warning appears in the Email Status column if there is any required information missing from the employee profile (such as a phone number or email address) that is preventing the email from being sent.

After the system attempts to send the email from a site level job, the email's status is shown in the Email Status column. The other columns show information on the last delivery attempt and the number of delivery attempts left.

The employee is listed, along with their email status, when you select Onboarding > First Time Access Email in the sidebar.
