I-9 forms are required for USA employees.
To add the I-9 section to the Onboarding Forms section of your onboarding policy:
- Go to Onboarding Setup > Onboarding Policy.
- In the sidebar, click the policy that you want to modify.
- Click the My Onboarding tab.
- Select Onboarding Forms (or click Add if the section isn't already added). The application automatically scrolls down to where you can configure the section. Click the edit icon (
) to configure it.
- This section provides various options to guide users with submitting various forms, and includes fields to provide descriptions and videos. For information on these other features, see Add Onboarding Forms to an Onboarding Policy.
- Click Add I-9 Forms to expand the section.
- If the forms must be completed before the employees' first day, select Include in preboarding essentials. See Preboarding Essentials.
- If the Enable for Internal Hire Role checkbox was selected at the top of the Onboarding Forms section, you have the option of not showing the I-9 forms to internal employees by clearing the Enable for Internal Hire Role checkbox in this section.
- To provide an additional number of days for employees to complete these forms, enter the number of days in the Due Date Offset field.
- Note: The countries you can choose from, and the forms for those countries, are configured in Onboarding Setup > Income Tax Withholding Forms Configuration. For information, see Configure Income Tax Withholding Forms.
- Click OK. If you need to update this information later, go to this Onboarding Forms section and click its edit icon

- Click Save.
