Select Recipients

You can select recipients in the following ways:

  • Enter the recipient's name in the To field. Dayforce filters the list as you type and shows people whose first or last name matches what you’ve entered.
  • Use the People Finder to filter for recipients:

To select recipients using the people finder:

  1. In the Compose drop-down list, select the message type.
  2. Click To. The People Finder opens for you to find recipients.
  3. In the Filters tab, enter one or more criteria to filter the list of people.
  4. Select the checkboxes beside the names of the people that you want to send the message to.
  5. Click Add People to add the selected employees or click All to add all of the listed employees to your recipient list. You can keep filtering the list of people and selecting the checkboxes until you’ve found all of the intended recipients.
  6. Go to the People tab and review the list of recipients that you’ve added.
  7. Click Select People to add the selected people as recipients for the message. You can remove people from the recipients list by clicking the X next to their name. Click Clear Recipient Selection above the list to remove all recipients.

After you select the recipients, you can write your message or broadcast. Dayforce provides text formatting controls, so that you can format your message. When you’re finished, click Send to send the message or click Save Draft if you aren't ready to send it yet.
