You can localize the name and description of your branding elements (that is, themes, headers, footers, images) so that the information is translated for users who speak other languages.
To add a localized name and description:
- Go to Letter Management > Branding Management.
- In any tab, select a branding element (for example, a theme) in the sidebar.
- Click Localize. A dialog box opens, in which you can enter the localized details.
- Click New.
- Click the Language column, and then select a language in the drop-down list.
- Note: This drop-down list displays the cultures that were selected in the Recruiting Cultures field of Recruiting Setup > Client Properties.
- Click the Name field, and then enter a localized name for the branding element.
- (Optional) Click the Description field, and then enter a localized description for the branding element.
- Important: In the Image Management tab, the Description field is required per the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The text is used by screen readers to ensure that people with disabilities who are using the letter portal are provided with descriptive information about the image.
- Click Save.
You can create a copy of an existing localization by selecting it in the dialog box, and then clicking Copy in the toolstrip. Dayforce adds the copy to the list with the Language field blank. You can select a language for the copy. This selection must be different from the language of the existing localization that you copied. You can also delete a localization by selecting it in the dialog box and then clicking Delete.
