You have several options when renewing your certifications in Dayforce. These options are outlined in more detail in the following sections:

Renew Certifications From Your Career Profile
Your certifications are listed in your career profile and you can renew expired or expiring certifications by clicking the Renew Now button (if available).
Role feature access: Profile > Profile Menu > Career > Qualifications > Certifications
To renew a certification:
- Go to Profile > Career > Qualifications.
- In the Certifications tab, click Renew Now for the certification. The Renew Certification dialog box opens with a list of the required courses.
- For each course, click the button next to the course name to launch and then complete the course. The button name reflects the status of the course as follows:
- Open: You haven't enrolled in the course yet or haven't started it yet.
- Continue: You started the course but haven't finished it.
- Restart: You completed the course already.
Renew Certification From an Email or Notification
Depending on configuration, Dayforce might send you an email or a Message Center notification for your expired or expiring certifications. You can access and complete required internal courses directly from these emails or notifications.
To renew a certification:
- Go to the email or the Message Center notification for the expired or expiring certification.
- In the message body, click the link for the course that you want to take. For Message Center notifications, the Renew Certification dialog box opens right away with a list of the required courses. For emails, the Dayforce log in screen opens and you have to log in to your account before the Renew Certification dialog box opens.
- For each course, click the button next to the course name to launch and then complete the course. The button name reflects the status of the course as follows:
- Open: You haven't enrolled in the course yet or haven't started it yet.
- Continue: You started the course but haven't finished it.
- Restart: You completed the course already.
Renew Certifications Using a Form
You can renew certifications by submitting a self-service form with the required details.
Role feature access: Profile > Profile Menu > Forms
To renew a certification:
- Go to Profile > Forms.
- Click the Upload New Certificate form.
- In the Certificate Details section, select the certification from the Certificate Name drop-down list.
- (Optional) In the Certificate Number field, enter the certificate number.
- Select the issue date from the calendar. The value defaults to the current date.
- (Optional) Select the expiry date from the calendar.
- (Optional) In the Training Details section, specify any of the following:
- Institution: The institution that issued the certification.
- Course Name: The name of the course that awarded the certification.
- Website: The website that issued the certification.
- (Optional) In the Supporting Documents section, click Upload Files to open the dialog box and upload a copy of your certificate.
- Note: You can upload documents in these formats: BMP, DOC, DOCX, DOTX, JPG, PDF, PNG, RTF, TXT, or ZIP. The maximum file size is 20 MB.
- In the Description field, enter the document’s name or description.
- (Optional) In the Comments field, enter any comments.
- Click Submit.
