Synchronize LMS Data Job

The Synchronize LMS Data job keeps Dayforce internal data in sync with the data stored in LMS. The following entities are recorded in Dayforce and need to be synced:

  • Course metadata
  • Learning Plans metadata
  • Associations between Learning Plans and courses
  • Course enrollments
  • Learning Plan enrollments
  • Course sessions
  • Course session days
  • Employee course sessions
  • Employee course session attendance

Note: It's best practice to run this job on a daily basis to keep data synchronized.

The job has the following settings:

Synchronize Courses

Select this checkbox to synchronize all internal course metadata.

Synchronize Learning Plans

Select this checkbox to synchronize all Learning Plan metadata.

Synchronize Course Enrollments

Select this checkbox to synchronize all course enrollments.

Important: When you select this checkbox, you must also select Synchronize Courses.

Synchronize Learning Plan Enrollments

Select this checkbox to synchronize all learning plan enrollments.

Important: When you select this checkbox, you must also select Synchronize Learning Plans.

Synchronize Learning Plan Courses

Select this checkbox to synchronize the associations between Learning Plans and courses.

Important: When you select this checkbox, you must also select Synchronize Courses and Synchronize Learning Plans.

Synchronize Course Sessions

Select this checkbox to synchronize internal course sessions, and session days metadata.

Important: When you select this checkbox, you must also select Synchronize Courses.

Synchronize Employee Course Sessions

Select this checkbox to synchronize employee enrollments in internal course sessions, and employee course session attendances.

Important: When you select this checkbox, you must also select Synchronize Courses and Synchronize Course Sessions.

Synchronization Type

Select the type of synchronization to perform from the drop-down:

  • Full: Synchronizes all changes for the entities selected in the settings above.
  • Note: A full sync can take a considerable length of time because of the volume of data involved.
  • Partial: Synchronizes changes since the last successful synchronization for the entities selected in the settings above.

Partial Sync Offset in minutes

Enter a value between 2 and 7250 in this field to offset the data returned from the last synchronization by the specified number of minutes. By default, this value is set to 2.
