Share and Manage Content

In Learning, you might be able to actively contribute to the training program of your company by uploading your content to channels and sharing it with your colleagues. You can also take advantage of the assets, or informal learning contributions, posted by other learners to extend your knowledge, and organize content into playlists.

You can also receive comments and questions on your assets, or comment and ask questions to other people on the content they uploaded. If your contribution to the training program is valuable, you can be designated as the expert for that area by an administrator.

To share content:

  1. Go to Learning.
  2. Select the Share Content tab, or click the Share Content button in the top right corner of the Overview tab. You might also see the Share Content widget.
  3. Select the type of content you want to share:
    • Link: Paste your link in the corresponding field.
    • Note: You can share a YouTube video link, but not a link to a YouTube playlist.
    • File: Select the file from your device.
    • Screen recording: For detailed instructions, see Take a Screen Recording.
  4. Choose a thumbnail for your content. You can use the default image, or click Upload Image to add a new thumbnail, then select an image from your device.
  5. Note: The minimum suggested image dimensions are 800 x 400 pixels, and the maximum suggested file size is 4 MB.
  6. Enter a title and description for your content.
  7. (Optional) Assign tags to your content.
  8. Select who to share this content with:
    • Channels and/or People: Select this option and then click Next to share your content with one or more channels or people. Select them from the list, then click Share.
    • Only Me: Select this option to save the content to your channel, then click Save Content.

When your asset is published, you can find it in your My Channel page, and on the pages of any channels you shared it to. To view your asset’s page, click its card.

Expert's Peer Review

Some channels might require that your asset is reviewed before it's shared with others. Your content will be published in those channels only after the channel's expert reviews and approves your content.

Note: If you share your content with some channels requiring expert peer review and some that don't require it, your content will need to wait for the expert’s approval only to be published in the channels that require it. It will be published immediately in the channels not requiring review.

If an expert rejects your asset, you can't edit your asset after the rejection. You can upload the asset again, with the corrections required.
