You can categorize users based on groups, or by branches of the organization chart. Groups can be used to differentiate users within a branch of an organization.
The LMS Group Sync Job updates membership information for any groups you've created in HR Admin > Groups.
Dayforce automatically updates membership information for groups you create or update in HR Admin > Groups when you save the information on the feature. You can use the LMS Group Sync Job to update the data manually.
Note: It's best practice to run this job on a daily basis to keep data synchronized.
The job has the following settings:
Full Group Metadata Synchronization
Select this checkbox to specify that the job should update full group metadata information, including name and reference code. This includes creation, deletion, or updating a name in LMS.
Full Group Membership Synchronization
Select this checkbox to specify that the job should update group membership. If your groups are configured to use eligibility criteria to define membership, the job will automatically add members based on the criteria you specified. This also includes addition or deletion of group members in LMS.
