Job assignment qualifications are the links that you can create between a job assignment and its required skills and certifications. This allows you to ensure that certain job assignments are performed by employees with specific skills or qualifications. You can also assign locations as a qualifier for assigning skills or certifications.
You create job assignment qualifications in Org Setup > Job Assignment Qualifications:
Dayforce uses associations between job assignments and skills or certifications when determining qualification for some schedule rules that run in Schedule Setup > Schedule Rule Policy.
Add a Skill Requirement for a Job Assignment
To create a skill requirement for a job assignment:
- Go to Org Setup > Job Assignment Qualifications and open the Skills tab.
- Click Add.
- In the Job Assignment drop-down list, select the job assignment that you want to add a skill requirement to.
- In the Locations drop-down list, specify the locations where the job assignment and skill association is required.
- In the Skills drop-down list, select the skills that you want to link to the selected job assignment.
- In the Skill Level drop-down list, select the skill’s level that you want to link to the selected job assignment.
- Click Save.
Add a Certification Requirement for a Job Assignment
To create a certification requirement for a job assignment:
- Go to Org Setup > Job Assignment Qualifications and open the Certifications tab.
- Click Add.
- In the Job Assignment drop-down list, select the job assignment that you want to add a certification requirement to.
- In the Locations drop-down list, specify the locations where the job assignment and certification association is required.
- In the Certifications drop-down list, select the certifications that you want to link to the selected job assignment.
- Click Save.
