Edit Your Assets

You can edit the details of your shared assets after they are published, even if the asset is awaiting peer review. Administrators can also edit the details of any assets, and experts can edit the details of assets in the channels that they manage.

To edit the details of your content:

  1. Go to Learning > My Channels, then click the asset, press the ellipsis button in the top right corner, and select Edit. You can also click the ellipsis menu on the asset and select Edit Asset.
  2. Edit any details in the General tab:
    • Asset Preview: You can replace the link, file, or screen recording you uploaded by clicking the corresponding button and choosing a new one.
    • Note: You can't change the file type of an asset after it is uploaded. For example, if you upload an XLS file, it can only be replaced by another XLS file.
    • Details: You can edit the tile and description, change the thumbnail image, and add or remove tags.
    • Delete Asset: You can delete the asset, so that it will no longer be visible in any channels, including your channel page.
  3. Edit any details in the Shared with People tab:
    • In the row for each user, you can see if the user has viewed your asset.
    • Click the ellipsis icon at the end of the row to remove a user from the list.
    • To share your asset with more people, click the Share button in the top right corner and search for other people by typing and adding their names in the corresponding field, or select them from the suggestions.
  4. Edit any details in the Shared with Channels tab:
    • To share the asset with new channels, click the Share button in the top right corner, then search for channels by typing and adding their names in the corresponding field, or choose them from the suggestions or from the All Channels list.
  5. Publish your asset using the status bar at the bottom of the page. If your asset's status is Under Maintenance, it will not be visible to any people or channels you have shared it with.
