  6. Question types
    Type Description
Single Choice Learners must choose one answer among the answer choices because there is only one correct answer. When you create a single choice question, you will then need to mark which answer is the correct one.
Multiple Choice Learners must choose more than one correct answer from a list of choices. When you create a multiple choice question, add more than two answers. This way, students will understand that they have to pick more than one answer.
Extended Text Learners must respond with a string of text they write themselves, rather than choose from a list options. You can use this tool to verify your students’ in-depth knowledge and understanding of the course.
Fill in the blank Learners must enter text in the blank space to complete a sentence.
Inline Choice Learners must select the correct answer from a drop-down list. Similar to the single choice question, the inline choice has only one correct option. However, this option should be composed of only a few words, instead of complex phrases.
    Text Entry

Learners must enter a very short string of text (no longer than one or two words) in response to the question.

    Association

Learners must associate answer choices with a topic. The question must describe exactly what you expect learners to do. Fill in the answer boxes with the elements that associate with one another.

Upload File Learners must upload a file that will be downloaded and evaluated by the instructor. You can request various file formats including image files, PDFs, and Word documents. You can use this type of question in several different ways to create a thorough evaluation of a student’s knowledge and skills.
Title (no answer) Allows you to add titles to divide the test into sections or to provide information and instructions for learners. Use the cross-section arrow icon in the break page or title’s row to drag and drop the sections to where they belong in the test.
Page Break Adds a page break to the test.
  7. Enter the question in the text box provided and complete the other fields.
  8. Click Save Changes.
