Create Custom Pages

To create a page:

  1. Go to Learning Setup > Pages Setup and click the Manage Pages tab.
  2. Click the New Page icon to open the New Custom Page slide-out panel.
  3. In the Type section, select the type of page to create, then click Next:
  4. In the Details section, enter a value in the Page Name field and, optionally, in the Page Description and Code fields. The code is the unique identifier for the page.

Configure a Widget Custom Page

If you selected the widget custom page, do the following:

  1. Click Next.
  2. In the Template section, select Blank to design your page from scratch, or select a template from the list to use a predefined page layout:
    • Informal Training Dashboard
    • Formal Training Dashboard
  3. Click Create & Edit.
  4. In the Settings tab, expand the General Settings row and do the following:
    • In the Code, Name and Description section, modify items as needed.
    • In the Page Icon section, click Change icon and select the icon that you want to display in the menu for this page.
    • In the Additional Page Buttons section, specify whether to show the Contribute, Ask the Expert, and Share this View buttons in this page.
  5. In the publishing bar at the bottom of the screen, in the Status field, select Published or Unpublished. Unpublished menus cannot be seen by any users.
  6. Click the Desktop Composer tab and add widgets to the page, as described in Add Widgets to Pages.
  7. Click Save Changes.

Configure an External Link Page

If you selected the external link custom page, do the following:

  1. Continuing in the Details section, enter the link in the URL field.
  2. Click Create & Edit.
  3. In the Settings tab, expand the General Settings row and do the following:
    • In the Code, Name and Description section, modify items as needed.
    • In the External Link Properties section, modify the URL and select how the link opens.
    • In the Page Icon section, click Change icon and select the icon that you want to display in the menu for this page.
  4. In the publishing bar at the bottom of the screen, in the Status field, select Published or Unpublished. Unpublished menus cannot be seen by any users.
  5. Click Save Changes.
