Configure Notification Subscriptions for Learning

To ensure that the correct users receive the appropriate learning notifications in Message Center, configure notification subscriptions by role or user in the Subscriptions tab of System Admin > System Notifications.

You also have to ensure that the corresponding background jobs are configured. See Configure Notification Background Jobs.

The following table shows a brief description of each learning notification, along with the background job that’s used for each of them. For a more detailed description, see Learning Notifications in the Dayforce Implementation Guide.

Important: To configure deep links to use SSO, select the Dayforce links in messages use SSO (if enabled) checkbox in System Admin > Client Properties.

Course/Event Update	Notifies employees when an e-learning or ILT (Instructor-Led Training) session that they’re enrolled in is canceled or if the learner is unenrolled from the session. New Course/ILT/Event Assignment	Notifies employees when they’re enrolled in a course or event. For events, the message includes a link to an ICS file that the learner can download to add or update the associated course sessions in their calendar. For courses, the message includes a link that takes the learner directly to the course. Note: The link takes the learner to the platform version of the course. It doesn’t link to the Dayforce Learning App.	Synchronize LMS Data
Session Update	Notifies employees when any of the following changes occur to their waiting list status for a webinar course or event session: The learner is added to a waiting list. The learner is removed from a waiting list. The course has been canceled.
