Configure Course Properties

You configure general course properties in the Properties tab of a course in Learning Setup > Courses and Learning Plans > Courses.

To configure course properties:

1. Enter a course code.
2. The application displays the course identification and type as read-only values that you can review in the ID and Type fields.
3. Enter a name for the course.
4. Enter a description for the course.
5. Add a thumbnail to the course in one of two ways:
   • Select Image: Click the button to select a course thumbnail from the available images. The application displays default images and images you have uploaded in the Select Course Thumbnail tab. You can also search the web for images in the Web Images tab.
   • Upload Image: Click the button and select an image from your computer. The minimum suggested image size is 800 x 400 pixels. The maximum file size is 4 MB.
6. Update the course status by expanding the drop-down and selecting a status:
   • Published: The course is available to learners.
   • Under Maintenance: The course is hidden from users (for example, if you need to make updates).
7. Click Save Changes.
