In Learning Setup > Central Repository, you can keep track of your training materials (files, videos, and so on) and add them to courses. The Central Repository feature allows you to do the following:
- Manage all training material in a centralized library.
- Avoid duplicated content.
- Update training material easily at once for all courses.
Before You Begin: Only Super Administrators can manage the items in the Central Repository feature.
In the central repository, training materials are sorted into folders, which correspond to the folders used in Learning Setup > Courses and Learning Plans. When you add a folder in Central Repository, it's automatically added in Courses and Learning Plans (and vice versa).
Content from the Learning Setup > Content Marketplace feature can also be added as training material so that they can be assigned to your courses. You can see the name of the vendor from which you purchased the content in the Content Provider column of the training materials list.
Note: E-learning objects that are imported from a content service provider are imported with that provider's default settings. This might include view mode (for example, some content is set to play in full screen mode as default).
