Advanced Settings

In Learning Setup > Advanced Settings, you can configure settings that apply across the internal learning features, such as date formats and whether users can enter expired e-learning courses.

E-Learning

Settings in the E-Learning tab
Setting Description
Options Select the appropriate checkboxes to enable functionality such as the "no answer" option in tests and surveys.
Soft Deadline

When a soft deadline is enabled, the course and its training material can be accessed by users even after the end date has passed. The soft deadline is calculated on the enrollment validity period. If this checkbox is selected, the expiration date of the enrollment isn’t calculated.

IFrame Allow List Use these fields to identify sites that are safe to display.
Courses & Learning Plans Content Curation

Use this area to manage the content curation for your courses and learning plans. You can allow users to hide courses and learning plans from display.

ILT

Settings in the ILT tab
Setting Description
Classroom allocation Select the Prevent overlapping of classroom sessions checkbox to prevent users from being able to schedule overlapping training sessions in the same classroom.
Custom attendance sheet Use the Display drop-down lists to configure which columns are displayed on attendance sheets and in what order.

Learning Plan

Setting Description
Redirect behaviour Allows you to configure the redirect behavior for users completing a course inside a learning plan.

Course Catalog

Settings in the Course Catalog tab
Setting Description
Internal Catalog Use these settings to specify whether Dayforce displays a generic catalog to users who aren’t assigned one.
Catalog Options Select this checkbox to display courses in catalogs under their assigned category.
Sorting Options Use this drop-down to configure how the general catalog is sorted.

Channels

Setting Description
Options

Use this setting to activate the option to allow users to see the courses they can self-enroll into on their channels.

Note: This feature is only available to customers that have purchased the Coach and Share add-on.

PENS

In the PENS tab, you can configure Package Exchange Notification System (PENS) settings so that you can easily publish course content from within a PENS-compliant authoring tool.

To add a PENS-compliant application, click Add Application and complete the required fields.

Social & Rating

Settings in the Social & Rating tab
Setting Description
Social Sharing Use these settings to configure whether users can share courses on social media and, if so, which networks they can share them on.
Rating Select an option for whether you want users to be able to rate courses and, if so, whether they have to finish a course before they can rate it.

Tags on the Deny List

Use the Manage Tags section to add words that you don’t want to appear in tags associated with both formal content and informal content such as assets and questions.
