You can reset your own password if you know the answers to your secret questions, have an email address on record in IAM, or if your organization has Multifactor Authentication (MFA) enabled. This method is the most efficient way to reset your password if you forget it. You're encouraged to use this process rather than contacting your system administrator.
If you don’t know the answers to your secret questions, haven’t set them up, or don’t have an email address in IAM, contact your system administrator to reset your password.
To reset your password using email:
- On the Sign In page, click Forgot Password.
- Enter your user Id and click Submit.
- A message displays stating an email has been sent to your email account. Click OK to dismiss the message.
- In your email account, open the email from IAM Support with the link to reset your password.
- Click Reset your password.
- If your organization:
- Has enabled MFA, you'llreceive a code from the Authy app, through text, email, or voice call. Enter the code to continue.
- Doesn't have MFA enabled, on the Answer Secret Questions page, answer the selected secret questions. The answers are masked, so be careful to avoid typos, misspellings, and so on when answering the questions.
- Click Save and Proceed.
- On the Set New Password page, enter your email address (if it isn’t already entered), enter a new password, and then enter it again to confirm it.
- Click Save and Proceed. A confirmation message shows stating that your password was changed successfully. IAM also sends an email to your email account that your password has been changed.
- Click OK. The Sign In page shows for you to sign in with your new password.
