Before you log into IAM, you will receive the login URL and your User Id in a Welcome email from IAM. If you haven’t received your Welcome Email, contact your system administrator.
Users of Dayforce Tax and Dayforce Powerpay use a different URL to log in to IAM.
– Dayforce Tax users use www.dayforcetax.com to log in to IAM.
– Dayforce Powerpay users use www.dayforce.com to log in, and then go to Support > Customer Login > Powerpay Plus Advanced Reporting (Identity and Access Management).
The following is an example of the Welcome email. It identifies information you’ll need to get started.
To log in to IAM for the first time:
- Click the URL included in your Welcome email.
- On the Sign In page, click First Time User.
- On the First Time User page, enter your User Id from your Welcome email. It is formatted as username_organization, for example, jsmith_palmettoltd. The User Id is not case-sensitive.
- Click Submit. A confirmation message is displayed.
- Click OK. The Sign In page appears again.
- In your email account, open the email that contains your security code and click the URL.
A new security code is generated every time the security code email is sent.
The URL is blurred in this guide for security purposes. The URL is uniquely generated for each new user and is not blurred in the email you receive.
- On the Security Code page, enter the security code you received in the email. To reduce the risk of entry errors, copy and paste the code from your email into IAM.
- Click Submit.
- On the Set New Password page, enter your email if it isn’t already entered, then enter your new password and enter it again to confirm it. The new password you enter:
- Must meet your company’s minimum password length and other minimum password requirements. Your company sets these values during implementation.
- Must contain at least three of the following four categories: numeric characters, capital letters, small letters, or special characters
- Must use any of the following special characters [~`!@#$%^&*()+=|\{}':;.,<>/?[\]""_-]
- Is case-sensitive
- Click Save. A confirmation message appears stating that your password was changed successfully.IAM also sends an email to your email account that your password has been changed.
- Click OK to dismiss the confirmation message.
- On the Secret Questions page, select a question and enter an answer for each question. The same question can’t be selected more than once.
Important: If you forget your password, you can reset it using either the Email or Secret Question option.
If you don’t remember your answers and are unable to use the Email or Secret Question options for any reason, the system administrator must reset your password.
- Click Save. The Sign In page appears.
- On the Sign In page, enter your user Id and password.
- Click Sign In.
The Home page appears with links to open your applications. The applications displayed on your Home page may be different. You’ll see only the application icons for the applications to which access has been granted to your organization and user account.
If you’re a Dayforce Tax or Dayforce Powerpay user, you log directly into Dayforce Tax or Dayforce Powerpay using the URL provided.
Important: If the session times out, you must close all IAM-related browsers and start the process over.
