User is Locked Out of IAM or Account is Disabled
Users may be locked out of their account if they attempt too many unsuccessful logins.
A user will be locked out of their account if they enter an incorrect password too many times.
An account may be disabled if the user attempts to:
- Answer your secret questions incorrectly too many times.
- Enter an incorrect security code too many times.
- Enter an incorrect MFA token too many times.
- Fail to authenticate using Multifactor Authentication too many times, including too many failed password attempts.
- If the user has not logged into IAM in the last 180 days.
