Email Template overview

The Custom Email page displays the standard email templates in the EmailType pane on the left. Custom text can be added to any of the templates shown in the pane.

The steps below demonstrate how to add custom text to an email template. For our example, we will be adding text to the Welcome Email template, however, you can modify our steps as needed to add your own custom text to a template.

  1. In the EmailType pane, click the template.
  2. Select the appropriate language (English or French).
  3. Click in the Subject text box or one of the Email Content text boxes and begin typing to add your own text. You can click B to enable bold text or I to enable italics.
    1. The Subject text box has a limit of 75 characters.
    2. Each Email Content text box has a limit of 500 characters.
    3. Text entered in the text boxes appears in the selected template only, unless the text is entered in a text box marked with a page icon. This adds the text to all templates.
  4. Click Preview to see your changes.
The Preview button can be used either before or after saving to see a preview of the email message.
  1. Click Save to save your changes.
  2. Click Reset to Default Text to remove the customized text and return the template to the original text.

The Reset to Default Text button removes the custom text for the selected template only. You must perform this action to remove custom text from each template.
