Data Profiles Defined
Data profiles are a means of grouping data items together. The data profile All is the master data set. It contains all data items that have been added for the organization. Assigning the All data profile to a role attribute for a user grants the user access to all data items.
Custom, or user defined, data profiles are data profiles to which you can assign specific data items. Dayforce Customer Admins and Dayforce Implementation Admins can create user defined data profiles.
For example, if you have 20 PSIDs, all 20 PSIDs are assigned to the All data profile. You can create 2 user defined data profiles called East and West. You can assign PSIDs 1-10 to the East data profile and 11-20 to the West data profile. Later, you can assign those data profiles to user accounts to manage which users have access to those specific data items.
You can manage user access to individual data items by adding, removing, enabling, or disabling data items in data profiles that are already assigned to users. For example, if you add PSID 21 to the West data profile, any users that have already been assigned access to the West data profile are granted access to PSID 21.
