Data Items Defined
Data Items include PSID and FEIN entries and are used to restrict user access to specific districts, locations, etc.
PSIDs consist of a combination of the PSID type, the PSID value, PSID description, and District. PSID value and district must be unique across all organizations in IAM.
FEINs consist of a combination of the FEIN type, the FEIN value, and the organization. The combination of the FEIN value and organization, or the combination of the PSID, FEIN, and organization must be unique across all organizations in IAM.
Whether you use PSIDs, FEINs, or a combination depends on the data types used for specific partner applications. Below, we briefly show how each partner application uses PSIDs and FEINs.
- Canada Blue Payroll Id, Canada Green Payroll Id, and Powerpay – A PSID is required and consists of a 6-character alpha-numeric value. The PSID value must be unique across all organizations in IAM.
- US Signature Payroll Id – Signature (Payroll) requires that PSID, FEIN, and district are be included in US Signature Payroll Id data items.
- PSID is a 3-6-character alpha-numeric value
- FEIN is a 9-digit numeric value
- The combination of the PSID, FEIN, and District values must be unique across all organizations in IAM.
- FEIN – FEIN is required and PSID is optional.
- PSID can be up to 10 alpha-numeric characters but can be left blank
- FEIN is a 9-digit numeric value and must be unique across all organizations in IAM.
