Assigning Data Items

Dayforce must set up your organization to use data items and add your data items. After that, users with the IAM Customer Admin role can assign data items to user accounts.

Process for adding user defined data profiles and assigning data items

1 – Select or create data profile

Select the All data profile to display all data items. Alternatively, you can select a data profile or click Add to add a new data profile. See the instructions following this table for more information.

2 – Add data items to the data profile

Assign the appropriate data items to the data profile. Click the check box in the Enabled column to ensure the PSID is enabled in IAM.

3 – Assign a DaaS role to the user account

Users page

Assign the correct DaaS role for each user account that needs to access the data items.

4 – Assign role attributes to user account for DaaS access

Users page

Assign the following role attributes to the user account based on the type of reporting to be accessed in DaaS.

5 – Assign the correct data profile or data items on the Role Attributes section of the Users page.

Users will be able to access information in DaaS for any of the PSID/FEINs in the data profiles you assign to the user attributes on this page.

This covers only the set-up procedures in IAM. You’ll need to enable Signature PDFs in the User Access section for each user in DaaS before users can see Signature payroll images. For more information, see the DaaS online help.
