Opening the Localize side panel shows the following:
- If you select a topic with subtopics there are two tabs: Topic and Subtopics for you to add localizations for both, if needed. Otherwise if you select a subtopic, or a topic that has no subtopics there is one tab.
- If the topic or subtopics are already localized Dayforce shows the list of cultures that the topic or subtopic have been localized to.
- If there are more cultures available for localization, the application shows the +New localization button for you to localize additional cultures.
- You can’t localize archived topics or subtopics.
To localize current topics or subtopics:
- Go to HR Case Admin and click the Topics tab.
- In the Current tab, click the options menu (⋮) for the topic or subtopic that you want to localize and click Localize. Dayforce opens the Localize side panel.
- Click +New localization for your chosen topic or subtopic.
- Select a culture from the drop-down list. The drop-down list only shows cultures that haven’t been localized for the topic or subtopic you have selected.
- Enter the localized name in the Localization field.
- (Optional) Add more localizations as needed.
- Save your changes.
