HR Case Management Notifications

In System Admin > System Notifications, the following notifications are assigned for HR Service Delivery. By default, the application sends push notifications on mobile, and notifications to Message Center in Dayforce, and any verified business email addresses that you’ve configured to receive notifications. Notifications sent to the submitted for include a link to the case in HR Cases. Notifications sent to the assignee or HR team member include a link to the case in HR Case Management.

The Respects Alerts setting in the Configurations tab in System Admin > System Notifications is off by default for these email notifications but you can configure it if desired.

Push notification links on mobile won’t open the mobile HR Cases feature if mobile HR Cases is enabled and web HR Cases isn’t enabled. The mobile app shows a message indicating that you don’t have the required permissions to view the page.

For HR Case Management notifications that are sent to HR team members: Dayforce only sends notifications to the HR team members who didn’t take the action that triggered the notification. Also, the following points apply:

  • The HR Case assigned notification goes to the new assignee if not the user who assigned the case.
  • The HR Case unassigned notification goes to the previous assignee if not the team member who unassigned the case.

Employees can change their notification settings in the Settings > Notifications screen in Profile. For more information see, Dayforce Notifications in the Employee Guide.

Note: Subscriptions aren't applicable to these notifications because the user's actions determine when Dayforce sends a notification.

HR Case Management notifications
Notification Description
HR Case Assigned Notifies the HR team member that they have a new case assigned to them.
HR Case Closed by Employee Notifies the HR team member that the employee has closed their case and no longer needs assistance. This notification only occurs if an HR team member is assigned to the case.
HR Case Closed by HR Team Member Notifies the employee that the HR team member closed their case.
HR Case Created Confirms that the employee created a case.
HR Case Hidden Notifies the subscribed group that an HR Case is hidden and topic or location access updates are required for it to be visible to an HR team member.
HR Case Needs Employee Action Notifies the employee that their case is waiting for their action.
HR Case Unassigned Notifies the HR team member that they’re no longer assigned to the case.
New HR Case to Assign

This notification is sent to all HR team members with topic and location access to the case for the following scenarios:

  • When a new case is created.
  • When a case is manually unassigned, or becomes unassigned because the topic was changed.
  • When the topic changes to a new topic while the case is unassigned.
New HR Team Member Message Notifies the employee that the HR team member has added a new message to their case. Dayforce doesn’t send the push Notification if the employee the case was submitted for doesn’t have Mobile > HR Cases assigned to at least one of their active roles.
New Update on Your Assigned Case Notifies the current case assignee that there’s a new public reply or internal note for the case. This notification only occurs if an HR team member is assigned to the case.
