The Topics tab in HR Case Admin lists active and inactive topics:

Active Topics

Active topics have at least one HR team member assigned to them and show in the various filter and topic drop-downs in the HR Case Admin, HR Case Management, and HR Case screens.

HR team members can only assign cases to employees who are assigned to the topic that is listed in the case. Those employees are the only team members that are listed in the Assignee field drop-down in HR Case Management > Cases.

For example, Chloe Clemons and Macon Burke are the only HR team members assigned to Recruiting and Reporting topics. They’ll show in the drop-down list of HR team members you can assign those cases to.

Inactive Topics

Inactive topics aren’t in the filter and topic drop-downs in the HR Case Admin, HR Case Management, and HR Case screens because they aren’t assigned to any HR team member. This prevents cases from being assigned to topics that no one has access to.
