In the Employment Status, Key Information, and (Canada, UK, and US only) Dayforce Wallet tabs in the Employment > Employment Settings screen of People, you can audit records without leaving the current tab.
To view audit details in these tabs, click Audit. Dayforce opens a dialog box containing the audit details. In the Employment Status tab, an indicator is shown next to the record being audited. The dialog box remains open and refreshes data as you select historic records, and you can also minimize it to view more content on the screen:
In the Key Information tab, there are no individual records, so the dialog box shows the details for all of the fields that you have access to. In the Dayforce Wallet tab, only audit details for the Eligible for On-Demand Pay checkbox are shown.
The dialog box has the following functionality:
- The left panel shows an entry for each change made to the record, and an entry for the creation of the record. Each entry shows the name of the user who made the change and the date and time that it was made. You can also click the user's name to open their employee card.
- On the right side, you can view details about the entry selected from the left panel. Dayforce lists the fields that were updated and the old values, new values, and removals, as applicable.
- You can click X to close the dialog box (you can also close it by clicking the Audit button again). The dialog box automatically closes if you leave the Employment > Employment Settings screen.
- The other tabs in the Employment > Employment Settings screen (for example, the Employment Type tab) don’t support auditing. If you click Audit when one of these tabs is selected, or you go to one of these tabs when the dialog box is already shown, the dialog box shows "No audit available."
You can continue to access the standalone Audit screen from the sidebar in People. See Audit.
