Before You Begin: This topic is applicable only for US employees.
In the VETS-4212 Filing screen of HR Admin > Compliance Reporting, you can generate the VETS-4212 filing report in a comma-separated values (CSV) format that’s compatible with the Department of Labor (DOL) online filing system. This functionality is for generating a file for batch submission, and not the paper version of this form.
Organizations operating in the United States are required to submit the VETS-4212 Report to the DOL each year if they meet the eligibility criteria. Dayforce exports data for reporting in accordance with the requirements for federal contractors and subcontractors under VEVRAA (Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974). For more information, see the following page on the DOL website: https://www.dol.gov/agencies/vets/programs/vets4212.
Note: The VETS-4212 Report replaces the VETS-100A Filing Report, which is no longer used for reporting by the US Department of Labor Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) and office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs (OFCCP). The VETS-100A Filing Report is no longer available in Dayforce.
Functionality for adding hiring locations with fewer than 50 employees into a combined state report isn’t supported. Hiring locations are listed in the export file individually.
The process for VETS-4212 reporting is as follows:

- Configure VETS-4212 filing templates for your organization. See Configure Filing Templates.
- Review a summary of the report data, including validations for missing information. See Review Filing Summary and Validation Messages.
- (If applicable) Define the hiring location used to report on combined sites. See Define a Hiring Location for Multiple Sites.
